Information the app accesses
For Claude, macOS Accessibility is used only to read the All models percentage and reset label visible on Claude Desktop’s Usage screen. For Codex, the app reads the existing authentication token and account identifier from ~/.codex/auth.json. The Codex credential is used in memory only to authenticate a usage request to OpenAI.
Information the app stores
The app stores only each provider’s percent used, reset date, and last synchronization time in local app preferences on your Mac.
Information the app does not access
The app does not read chats, prompts, responses, keyboard input, terminal output, tasks, source code, Documents, Downloads, Photos, Music, browser history, contacts, Claude Code’s Keychain, or location.
Analytics and tracking
There are no analytics, advertising, tracking, crash-reporting, or telemetry SDKs. The developer receives no usage values or credentials.
Provider services
Codex usage requests go directly from your Mac to OpenAI and remain subject to OpenAI’s privacy policy. Claude usage is read locally from the visible Usage screen in Claude Desktop; UsageGlow does not send a separate Claude usage request.
